Q: How do I search for terms and definitions?
A: You can look up definitions of computer terms using the search box in the upper-left corner of each page within the TechTerms.com website. When you begin typing a search term, the search suggest feature will provide a list of definitions available from TechTerms.com. You can select a term using the up and down arrow keys on your computer. Once you have entered a term or selected one from the list, press "Enter" to view the definition.
If you want to search for a term or phrase within the definitions, click the "Search Definitions" link in the search box. You can also press "Enter" before typing anything in the search box. This will direct you to the "Advanced Search" page. The Advanced Search will provide you with a list of definitions that contain the term you are searching for. Searching within definitions is a good way to find other terms related to a specific term.
You may also browse terms by category or by Tech Factor using the links on the left. For an alphabetical listing of computer terms, click one of the letters above.
If you cannot find the term you are looking for, please contact TechTerms.com.
